Well Rolling into week 3…
I can honestly say that it is very difficult to maintain consistency. It’s something I struggle with quite sincerely. Consistency is the key to any successful program. However, I am NOT going to beat myself over the fact that I only worked out twice last week!
Rather I’m going to simply move forward. I am now goign to opt for a simple one day on…one day off…UNLESS I am extremely motivated one day to add some extra workout. If so…it would only be cardio. This would be a basic workout schedule that I would eventually make more complicated. However, it would not be completely different froma pre-season workout if I was just getting back into a sport.
So I have been increasing my workout time but I long to get on the treadmill (currently been doing elliptical-type of machine – a variable one). I am going to get a good pair of running shoes…I tried some on the other day and I loved them..but they didnt quite fit and the store did not have any others available..in fact I went to several stores looking for them and they are sold out everywhere.!
BUT..it looks like I found them on Amazon! So..as soon as I can afford it im ordering me a pair..and that should be soon.
Meanwhile, My diet is good…and on the level. I am not weighing myself as often right now because that just sets one up for heartbreak. I wouldn’t bother till a couple of more weeks!
Things don’t happen overnight…rarely any rate..LOL

No workout today! Too Sore! LOL wow. I may have overdid it. But I also feel like my body needs to be shocked a little anyways. Today will be a rest day – and I should get back on track Monday.

the single 45 pound plate is versatile
Had a decent workout this morning about an Hour. I spent 12 minutes doing cardio (as a warm up) and then went on to lifting. Well.. Pressing.
I did some bench press (machine based not free weights- I gotta work into it and no one else was in the gym..) then I worked my Traps (I know weird combo) , my Olbiques, my Delts and (shoulders). I also did some dips..and spent about 5 minutes figuring out how to work the Stairmaster machine before giving up on that…LOL. (stupid stair master I don’t get you)
Today’s Diet
Breakfast some cereal..not much (you know just using a cup is a lot less than I use to) and I used almond milk instead of something else.
a few work related things came up …so I had to work a little longer before I had a chance to workout ..at which time I realized I was already hungry and probably wouldnt make it through a workout..so….
SNACK
Toast with Peanut Butter
Lunch
Pita with Humus and Turkey Breast with cucumber and tomato.
Dinner
yet to be determined…it involves Chicken breast, cucumbers…and….and wait for it…Mac aand Cheese. Not Kraft (which I admit I do like) but this nifty , Low cal brand I split with my GF. It has 250 calories in it –Split between us thats only 125. Much better caolire count than your typical Mac n Cheese that’s for sure.
I was completely exhausted today after my workout today. Ill get into this issue later though..I gotta start prepping. I know in advance tomorrow’s planned workout involves…cardio and some leg work.

Brunswick - Simple but good
Ok…
So I had heard that sardines are a decent fish to add to your diet and so I bought a couple of cans to try out this week. I just had 1 as my late morning snack.
I used to like sardines when I was little so I had been eager to get some anyways. They are not as cheap as i remember (currently about $1.50-2.25 a can) and i couldn’t remeber what was a decent but affordable brand.
So i bought two very different ones..Bumble Bee (hot sauce flavored) and Brunswick (standard soybean oil). the Bumble Bee , which is a little more expensive..was DISGUSTING. I mean gag to the max! it was nothing but compressed tails and maybe one flshy sardine. It was so disgusting i thought to myself..is htis how bad they alaways were? No..couldnt be… so i stopped eating and grabbed the other can..WOW what a difference. I dove into the sardines (4 whole fat sardines and enjoyed myself).
We all know that bumble bee also makes the worse canned tuna as well…we’ll I though you should know..in my opinion, they also make the worst sardines! 😉
Now I just need to find someplace that sells these suckers in bulk..hmm (I would get the olive oil or spring water over soybean oil as well)
NOTE: I just found out Brunswick sardines are distributed by Bumble Bee…hahah this makes no sense to me. But all I know is the can that said Bumble Bee with the bumble bee logo on it…was disgusting.
